This set was months in the making and many trial sets before we came to the final design. The neck is Bright, responsive and brings incredible note definition. Made with alnicu 3 magnets and wound to the mid 7.5K area with 43 GA wire. The bridge is articulate and has enough heat (upper 8.3's) to TWANG with a mix of flat alnico magnets to bring in Bright notes without going brittle. Wound with 42 Ga wire and a steel base plate adds to the power.
This set sounds focused. The true Tele brightness is there, but also a certain sweetness. These have a very even range and response from top to bottom.......the neck pickup has a clarity and punch that typical Tele neck pups lack. These will do country and rock-n-roll all day long. Overall, a fantastic set for the Tele enthusiast looking for a more transparent and useful neck pickup, with a bridge pickup that gives you that cut and bite you want out of your Telecaster.
