Jam Pedals Wahcko Wah MK.2

Since 2008, the Wahcko has been one of the defining pedals in the JAM pedals line, renowned for its expressive sweep, immediate feel, and dynamic response to the player, instrument, and amplifier.

With the Wahcko mk.2, we revisited the original design in detail, refining it further to expand its expressive range while giving players greater control over its response.

At its heart is a custom JAM inductor inspired by the vintage TDK inductors found in classic 1960s Cry Baby and Vox wah circuits.

The familiar six-position SWEEP control remains, allowing you to tailor the pedal’s frequency range to your instrument, amplifier, and playing style. The original model’s internal input-gain trimmer has also been retained, while the mk.2 introduces an internal Q trimmer for finer control over the character and intensity of the wah response. Battery operation also makes its return.

For the first time, internal DIP switches allow the Wahcko to be configured for either guitar or bass. This extends its expressive sweep to lower-register instruments while preserving the feel and musicality that have defined the Wahcko from the beginning.

Custom JAM inductor

At the heart of the Wahcko mk.2 is our custom inductor, inspired by the vintage TDK inductors found in classic 1960s Cry Baby and Vox wah circuits.

Six-position SWEEP

Choose from six distinct frequency ranges using the side-mounted rotary switch. Tailor the sweep to your instrument, amplifier and playing style, or explore a different range without changing the rest of your setup.

Q and input-gain adjustment

The new internal Q trimmer adjusts the character and intensity of the wah response, giving you another way to shape the sound alongside the SWEEP control. The original Wahcko’s internal input-gain trimmer is also retained. Both trimmers default to approximately 12 o’clock.

Guitar and bass modes

Internal DIP switches configure the Wahcko mk.2 for guitar or bass. Bass mode extends its expressive sweep to lower-register instruments while preserving the feel and musicality of the original design.

Adjustable rocker tension
Set the rocker’s resistance to your preference using the included 4 mm Allen key. Choose a lighter movement or a firmer feel under your foot.

Part of the family since 2008

Over the years, the Wahcko has found its way onto the pedalboards of Nile Rodgers, Bill Frisell, John Scofield, Steve Lukather, Richie Sambora and Greg Koch. The mk.2 builds on that history with an expanded expressive range and greater control over its response.
